" This largest rock also has holes irregularly spaced across the rock’s exterior surface. These holes are voids left behind from a mineral that was once infilling these holes but has since weathered out, leaving only the matrix and voids. This is called amygdaloidal texture. The rock in question is an amygdaloidal basalt. Your amygdaloidal basalt probably originated within the Superior Failed Rift system, it is associated with the Huronian Super Group, a geologic province that lies just north of Lake Huron, in the southern portions of Ontario Canada. These rocks are ancient, I suspect your rock could be about 2.4 billion years old. Your rock probably has a geochemical signature that would classify it as a Tholeiitic basalt. These basalts may be the most common surface rocks on the planet because they originate from mid-ocean ridges. At the ridge, the seafloor spreads-out, and with each new emission of lava, new oceanic crust is created. These crusts underly the worlds oceans. Your rock came from a rift that did not fully develop, so the resulting magma was not emplaced as a seafloor, but it resulted a flood basalt infilling a valley." So for those who guessed Basalt you were correct!
