Looks just like the bones I usually see in my soups, except it is a hard rock. What is the red part? Petrified vein?

Possibly a piece of a Septarian Nodule. Saw one in a search result that was called a "Dragon Stone".

Doesn’t look like wood but you definitely got something odd right there. Where did you get it from or find it at? May help with the ID.

Not bone I've found septarian nodules with veins of red agate like your piece in Utah

Even if it's not bone, I'd still tell people it's petrified bone and red blood. (At least for Halloween.)

Possibly a piece of a Septarian Nodule. Saw one in a search result that was called a "Dragon Stone". Interesting! I checked with the pictures of Separian Nodule, and can not instantly relate these. Maybe cutting the rock half one day will make it easier to identify.
