46/70 or 60/90. Is 46/70 all that faster than 60/90? I'm using barrel sizes of 12lb, 3lb, and 1.5 lb. Trying to make an educated decision on buying both or one size grit. I have more time than expendable $...at least I hope I have more time. Never know if you have the next two seconds LOL

dirtsifterI've read on here 46/70 is good in the big barrel but not the little ones. There isn't enough rock action in them to break it down. I would think if it was doing its job in the little barrels but just not breaking down and you just used the slurry over snd over until it is broke down it would be worth getting 46/70 in theory. If you have 46/70 ecperiment with it in the 3 pound barrel. If you have data on how certain rough took start to finish in 3# with 60/90 use the same rough and see if using 46/70 works as well in less time, ultimately using less grit thus using less money. Save your slurry and use it again until it doesn't feel gritty.
