Definitely show us the slabs! The center area of the first picture is also very interesting. Looks translucent but maybe it is opaque grey instead?

One very cool looking piece of chert.
I love chert and the various patterns/colors it has.
Looking forward to seeing the slabs.

It looks like it’s sprinkled with little hornblende crystals.

Thank you! I’m planning to slab the rock parallel to the face shown in the first picture, hoping it will yield a decent cabochon. Oh good! I was hoping you'd cut it that way. The needle sprays of whatever that is make such an interesting pattern on that face. |

Nice looking material. The pattern has a "hint" of Silver Lace Onyx to it. I'll be curious to see the slabs and cabs from this! Pretty Cool!  |

It looks like one of those "splash paintings" The preform has a healed fracture running through the middle, so I’m looking at two smaller cabs. It was trimmed out of the end cut, a test piece more or less. Splash paintings remind me of the big Lebowski, thanks! LOL I shall wait patiently to see what you come up with!   |
