Since 1dave brought up the subject of stoves, why not talk about tents. I adore the brand Hilleberg. Yes more expensive, but you get what you pay for! I have a Keron 3, which is bomb-proof; However it requires ground to stake it in. So then I picked up an Unna; which is a bit less capable, but it is free-standing. While one is less than the other, they will still, both, survive more weather than other brands.

We have a huge Coleman for car camping. It's really held up nicely. Can't complain. I have looked at the more expensive tents, but, hey, this fits our needs. The image is facing the back. We can put a raised queen size mattress, all our gear and a table and 2 chairs for when it's raining. It has 3 large rooms. We went camping once and were stuck in a smaller tent for a soggy weekend. NO MORE! Our back packing tent is super nice. I can't remember the brand, but it's a good one from REI. DH and I fit comfortably. It's freestanding. (No picture.)
