Benefits at 30 days with a 90 day temp to hire job? Benefits from the temp company? Do you know what the company will offer if and when they sign you on? The place I retired from did all their hiring with temp services, a real mixed bag for training people who may have chose the temp service because they really don't plan to stay, so don't be surprised if you get that question a few times.

Sooooooo, got a new job today. 2nd shift, $15 an HR but after 7-14 days or when my supervisor is ok with my performance, unlimited OT. I'm so used to 55-60 HR weeks that I'm OK with it. Between the other job & the PT job I was waiting on, was going to pull those hours anyway. Best part, benefits at 30 days. $20-25 a week for me & the wife, only pay for medical. Dental, eye & prescription are free. $5 copays & $5 scripts. Less an hour but the bennies out weigh that and its starting pay. Going through a temp service to start and if I do well, can go full time with the company after 60-90 days. Will be making pre built parts for Kia. Warehouse jobs were already filled up. Definitely a career change from what you've been doing! Congrats on leaving the old place though!

I believe this particular temp service is strictly for the supporting companies for Kia. The companies tend to have same/similar benefits as the temp services.
I'm going to love not being in a kitchen anymore. I'm so burnt out now I don't even cook at home for myself anymore unless I absolutely have to. Don't remember the last time I actually enjoyed anything I ate.
Getting my wife back on her meds will be nice. Not cooking for 12 hours straight will be nice too, lol.

Hope this works out for you and gives you an avenue to reduce the stress level.

Yeah, I remember when I was helping my brother with his catering, coming in early on event days to do prep work, that he mostly subsisted off of other peoples take out. Elizabeth worked in the kitchen in a retirement home for awhile, she doesn't often cook either.
