Hey Folks! Got a new to me Highland Park 20VL flat lap. I'm wondering about the vibration - how strong is it supposed to be? The machine starts walking quite a bit when I fire it up, but I'm not sure if that's just expected. I've used smaller ones in the past, so I appreciate the help figuring this out! Here's a link to a video of it starting up:
Thanks!

They will dance all around your garage. Lol. I have seen some people anchor them to the floor, I even seen one tied to a wall with wire. Good luck.

I just watched your video, it does seem a bit excessive. You can try turning the counter wait in, you may need to tune it to the weight of what your are lapping.

I bought a vi-bro-lap made in Yakima WA, 24" with a square pan years ago. I put a few thunderegg halves in it, turned it on, and went in the house. When I returned it was halfway down my driveway and had unplugged itself.
