RIP, Bill Depue Don't know if this is old news to many of you, but I just found out in an email from a local club. The link below has information about the Celebration of Life to be held for him Wednesday, November 23, 2022 10 AM - 1 PM Diamond Pacific Tool Corporation 2620 W. Main Street Barstow, CA 92311 You must RSVP if you plan to attend, info in the PDF flyer. Celebration of Life Bill Depue
I never visited their location in Barstow, but I know DP had a presence in Quartzsite every year, right next to where Tony catmandewe hosts the BBQ every year.I'm sure he will be missed by many.

khara, yes, he was around for a good long time, an icon in the formative years of lapidary equipment in the southwest US. He was four years older than my dad is, and I don't know too many people that are older than my Dad. I don't think I was ever formally introduced to him, but I stopped in the metal building that housed Diamond Pacific in Quartzsite, looking for some certain stencils. Found what I was looking for! I didn't know him from the San Diego Mineral and Gem Society (where the email I received came from), but it appears he was active with this club (taking part in meetings and field trips).
