I've searched and read several threads about saw blades. Most seem to be geared towards the smaller diameter blades.
I need a good (not best) blade for my older slab saw that was given to me. It currently has an 18 inch blade but the blade got bent when a rock shifted and put the blade in a bind. I am going with a 16 inch blade because the current blade has a tendency to rub against the box in the back.
I mainly cut agates, petrified wood and jasper. I don't need a perfect cut, but want something that I will get good use out of.
I've priced the MK Diamond blades and they seem to be around $300. Someone in a thread mentioned UKAM but hadn't used it much yet. They are priced a little lower than the MK Diamond.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Think I'm going to stick with the MK-301. Put them on our 18" and 14" saws and they've been doing great.
Second choice would be the MK-303, since at 16" and up they are segmented rim blades.
The 303 has a lower recommended RPM range than the 301, so pick one that fits the RPM of your saw arbor or swap a pulley to adjust.

We just bought a "green" blade from Johnson Brothers that is a 16" notched rim blade for $74. It is cutting agate in the saw right now. It's not as good as the MK blades but if you are wanting a budget saw blade that will work I'd say that one will work.

I'm going to try a 14" blade from Advanta tools on ebay as soon as the saw is dialed in. They are from S Korea like Barranca and MK, seem to be 303 clones, perhaps made in the same factory like Ukam. I have used their trim saw blades for years with no problems. With shipping it was $132.29 for the 14" blade.
