And I thought we could cross you off the worry list - geez, guess not.
Feel better & do what they (wife & doctors) tell you to get better .

Christmas Morning I came down with Covid. This version hit my throat making it the sorest throat I have ever had,, but moving around to other muscle complexes. Back to the hospital I went and was Just now released. Symptoms include: Fever or chills Cough Ribs hurt to cough Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Fatigue Muscle or body aches Headache New loss of taste or smell Sore throat Congestion or runny nose Nausea or vomiting Diarrhea Frequent urination Painful coughing More painful swallowing and drinking. Dave, first of all, your timing sucked. Christmas day?? Secondly, you did not listen to me, just went off looking for adventure. Glad to hear you are back at home, now. You were supposed to be making giant strides forward towards your recovery, not taking steps backwards. When I was first diagnosed with Covid, and I do mean for the first time, and went to the ER by ambulance, I was pretty much asymptomatic. No raging, painful, sore throat, only a slight fever, a mild headache. Some drainage from my sinuses and coughing, but none of that rib breaking coughing. I tested Covid positive, but was negative for seasonal flu. Thank God for small favors. No loss of sense of taste or smell. Bob had a bad sore throat the following Friday, he was tested, no Covid. Took a week to get the results back, though. So far, he is doing nothing more than going through Kleenex boxes and coughing, watching idiot idiot videos on YouTubes, like he always does, and watching the plumbers do their thing. My neighbor is a Covid nurse, she brought the Covid home, she and her son got it, her 80 year old mom got it. Her mom got pneumonia, but was treated with antibiotics, and came through safely, although she still coughs quite a bit. At this point in time, the biggest take away I have from this, is my hearing has gotten much more sensitive. I find myself cramming large orange earplugs into my ears. I much prefer the quiet while in the hospital, I was always getting up to close the door to my room! Too much noise and laughing and jabbering out there for my likes. Gonna post this before I fat-finger and lose this again! Dave, please take care of yourself and get well. Will be doing more praying for you.

Weird! I now live in a dramatized world. Every time I go to sleep I am deep in a filming of a production on Covid, Everyone in place, knowing their lines which I d0n't understand in a parallel world. A weird Dream World, except for the weakness, pain drinking and swallowing.

A weird Dream World, except for the weakness, pain drinking and swallowing. Maybe try Chloraseptic Sore Throat Spray (Cherry is my favorite). It will help. Won't get rid of your sore throat for good, but will numb it up enough so it isn't as painful. Praying for your throat to get better (and all of you, of course) quick. Sleeping and keeping well hydrated is the best thing you can do for yourself.

They gave me morphine before I left the hospital. I'm blaming it all on that.

Elderberry syrup is good for cough and sore throat. I haven't had to use it, but my roommate swears by it. This particular brand that I just took a picture of is from Park City, UT Get well Soon

Since everybody is sharing what remedies they use to help with their ailments, here is mine. Ginger Root - peel, grate and steep into hot tea or hot water for cough relief. Ginger has a strong sharp taste that they say you have to acquire. I say to heck with that, if it will stop the coughing! Ginger Chews - a quick fix to also temporarily help stop coughing. I found them in a Trader Joe's store, but also try Vitamin, Health Food Stores, or online. Here is the brand I'm using. I heard about them and thought it made more sense to have a quick remedy for when I was sick, and low and behold it worked for me! Website: gingerpeople.com If this works for you and you want to thank me, just send some of the morphine my way.

I'll second the Elderberry! Help me get through the Covid. Of course I ended up diabetic afterwards, but I was heading that way anyway.

Now they tell me I have A-Fib -
An irregular, often rapid heart rate that commonly causes poor blood flow. The heart's upper chambers (atria) beat out of coordination with the lower chambers (ventricles). This condition may have no symptoms, but when symptoms do appear they include palpitations, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Treatments include drugs, electrical shock (cardioversion), and minimally invasive surgery (ablation).

You're not in the hospital.
Take good care of yourself, Dave. (((HUGS)))
