Lumberlegs I enjoyed the scenery in the Iceland video and it reminded me of my ancestors who helped colonize the place 1100 years ago. I've always been enchanted by the desolate landscape of places like this. Love to watch volcanic eruptions also.

RWA3006 I've learned a lot of Iceland recently, never really knowing much about it until I started getting back into volcanoes. I really hope he gets a chance to get his aerial video that he's hoping for, once in a lifetime shot. Have you been to Craters of the Moon in Idaho? I didn't have time to stop when I rolled thru earlier this year, but I think I would get a kick out of exploring it. There was some impressive roadside views coming into Twin Falls as well. That's impressive you could trace your ancestry back that far, my family was only able to go back a few hundred years back to England

Because my paternal uncle and maternal aunt are hard core genealogists, I have several lines traced back almost a couple thousand years. Interestingly a couple lines bounce back and forth between Norway and Iceland for hundreds of years. Those Vikings covered a lot of country.
