Second that! I have also used Kingsley North. Sometimes they have pretty good bulk deals on grit (I get 50 Lbs of course at a time lol)

Yes, Rocktumbler dot com is a quality site. But I think they are a bit more expensive, and so do the others here who are directing you to the Rock Shed, and Kingsley North. Minnesota Lapidary Supply is another good source for grit and pretty much anything else, IMO.

I've only been buying in small quantities. Up until recently I was buying it from Robert Hall Originals, but unfortunately (for me, not for them), they have retired last year. I hven't had to buy any since they retired, but I will in a little while, so I am also looking for a new supplier. I only have small rotary tumbles, so I am not looking for large bulk purchases. I would say that for the stages 1-3 grits, anywhere is usually OK, even Amazon. For polish, I'll be looking for somewhere with a good reputation.

Hey electro, another Torontonian here.
Should you need a source for grit here in the city I have a great place in Mississauga, shoot me a PM if you want more info.

Is rocktumbler.com a quality site? Rock Shed or Kingsly North will be your best bet for quality grit.

I have ordered a couple hundred pounds from Johnson Brothers. Seems to be good grit.

I should add I am in Canada While watching yet another video on tumbling, the presenter was showing her paper bags of grit. The address on the bags was: V.I. ROCKHOUNDSHOP, LTD. 777 CLOVERDALE AVE VICTORIA, BC V8X 2S6 (280) 479-2080 CANADA I cannot attest to the quality of grit or anything about the shop. Nevertheless, thought it may be helpful
