. These rocks were included in a 5 lb mix that came with my Lortone QT 12. Not sure what they are but my wife loves the color. I read the description at the Rock Sheds site of a 5lb medium mix but that didn't help. Still so new to all of this.

Looks like either green opal or jasper. Does it feel relatively lightweight for a stone?

My wife and I sorted the rocks from the 5 lb bag onto a towel into groups by their appearance. She is the only one who handled that particular stone. As soon as she saw it she grabbed them and said I really like these rocks, green is her favorite. After that, all were gathered and put into the tumbler barrel. LOL. I really have to pay more attention.

Opal is softer than chalcedonies like agates and jaspers, and will grind a lot faster. If they are opal there may not be much of anything, if anything left after a month.

vegasjames, Unfortunately, I'm away from home working. I'll see when I get home. Which also makes working with a Lot I tumbler a wee bit challenging. Thank you for the heads up.

vegasjames. I ended up emailing Shawn at the Rock Shed. He said .....green opal. I cleaned out the 12 lb tumbler today and they are ok. I pulled them out and will be treating them a little differently. Some still have a few pits in them but I can live with that. Thank you so much for the heads up. You nailed it.

looks exactly like the green opal I purchased from rough rocks. Very soft and crumbled when we cut it - almost soapy feeling...not sure if it's the same, but looks it.
**Edit to say helps to read before posting...sorry for duplicate answer
