First...gorgeous cab!!  Second: "Some of the [Montana] agates are "limb cast" that were formed when wood was buried beneath volcanic ash" (https://everettrockclub.com/Montana_Agate) That really does look like an "agatized" piece of petrified wood!

Agatewhisperer, I agree with Jasoninsd that this is petrified wood. I have several cabs made from the the Yellowstone River material that was collected by road construction workers in that area that look like your slabs. The material that I purchased includes limb casts, petrified wood, moss and the other plume dendrite mix. In my last UV-18 pictures there is a small filler piece tumbled sample of plume.
