Yay! I see your pictures.
I don't know my agates very well, but that looks like a Laker. I'll let others be the judge though.

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
Looks like it could be a Laker to me, too, but I'm not an agate expert, either. I was thinking maybe a Botswana, but the colors don't look quite right to me.

That does look like a Laker, where was it found, any idea ? No, not really. I have no idea where the original owner of the box of rocks rock hounded at. Located in North East Kansas but that doesn't mean they didn't travel. I did find a piece of what looks like Montana agate in there as well.

Welcome Jakob. Looks like it could be a Lake Superior Agate. Very nice!

Jakob Lake Superior Agates (aka Laker) can be found in NE Kansas and NW Missouri. MY father-in-law hunted some gravel quaries in NW Missouri and found a few Lakers of similar color.

Believe it or not, Lakers can actually be found clear out here in Railroad Buttes, South Dakota! I was shocked when I found that out...and even more shocked when I found one. I'd post a pic...but a forum member was out visiting and I found it when we were out hounding. I gave it to him!

Looks like a clam. Wonder if it could be a fossil clam.
