I'm sorry this is so quick...but I'm looking for the best places to get grit in upstate NY. I adore Michigan Rocks, but all his places have high shipping fees, even on orders in the serious triple digits. I will try to be more social as soon as I get everything set up. Thanks in advance.

Welcome from Northern Arizona! I don't tumble, but if you were looking at the Kingsley North website, their shipping costs are always messed up on there. Call them and ask what the actual shipping would be for what you want. You also might want to make a separate post on the Tumbling Board where you are sure to get a lot more responses. Not everybody reads the intro board.

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota! Robin has good advice about KN. I'd recommend the same with The Rock Shed...give 'em a call. They've always been super nice and helpful. Couldn't hurt to talk with them.

Couldn't hurt to talk with them. Welcome from NE Ohio! I second Jason's recommendation - just placed an order with the Rock Shed and was refunded part of my shipping due to it not costing as much - they do a "placeholder" amount and once your items are boxed up they'll adjust if needed. Good luck in your journey! Tons of help to be found here.

Hi and welcome from north central New York! Both Rock Shed and Kingsley North ship grit and such in USPS flat rate boxes. What ever you are ordering, ensure you fill that box up. It is amazing how much they can cram in that box. All I find in local stores, Syracuse area to Watertown area is little bottles of grit like Nat Geo and such.
