I dont think I've seen anyone mention yet that Highland Park has been having weekly rough auctions via Zoom on Fridays 7pm Eastern.
It is supposed to be mostly older material from their years of collecting. Some of it is the leftovers from core drilling a big piece of rough for making a sphere but still has a decent amount a usable material.
A good bit of it is outside of the cheap price range I usually buy rocks at (30 to 70 dollars a pound for some!) And not really in the need for rough, but it still is nice to look at cool rocks!
I think their YouTube and Facebook feeds have info for signing up to get the zoom link
I should add that if you do sign up, be prepared for a steady stream of emails, texts, and phone calls reminding you about the auctions!

Hmm, interesting. Thank you for the info. I know they also do some demonstrations or tutorials that you can sign up for. I haven’t been to any but have seen the emails. Topics were stone settings and metalsmithing projects.

You go to their site and you are bombarded with pop ups telling you what someone else bought. I don't need it, I don't want it. I needed a part, or so I thought, and created an account. Now I am overwhelmed with their BS.

Now I am overwhelmed with their BS. I ordered a hard to find blade bushing from them once and created an account, they they track everything you look at on their website and will cold call you about other items you click on. I was browsing their site and looked at their 36" drop saw, 20 minutes later someone from Highland Park called me to see if I would like to buy it...

Yes it gets annoying after a while. I bought a saw from them and a blade. I get a call about 2x month asking if i'm still into lapidary. At first I answered their calls and had pleasant conversations. They were interested in what I was doing and how I used my equipment. Then the calls were starting to become redundant. Same questions and would I send pictures, and what was the next thing I would be purchasing. Now they just go to voicemail. While I appreciate the effort (I used to work telephone sales so I get it) I really only need 1 call a year. It must pay off for them as it is the same person calling me every time.
