Thanks for that info. Lots of knowledge on this forum. Interesting about the motors. I ran this Pixie for about 20 mins the other day and everything worked great. Hopefully it continues to run smooth. I was really surprised to find out it was 43 years old and still in that great of condition. Do you know how the pads in the bag work? They have white powder on them but not sure how they would attach to the end without being able to thread into the end. Is there something I am missing to attach them to?

BTW, your 14,000 grit wheel is attached to the shaft by a "right-hand adapter". With an additional adapter you can swap out the last wheel for another wheel of a different grit in matter of seconds. I do that with my pixie: cutting cabs in batches, I have an 8,000 grit wheel attached. After I'm done with 8,000 grit, I swap it out for a 14,000 grit wheel. I'm not recommending that you buy an adapter right now. I would wait a while until you've made a bunch of cabs, and see if it makes sense for you. Thanks for the info. Will look into that as well.

I would email DP if Tony doesn't give us an answer and ask. I bought a used Genie and didn't know about the capacitor deal at the time. It took a while of using it before my motor fried. I would think you would need to affix those felt pads onto a spin-on plate with a 1/4" 20 bolt to screw it onto the side there. Nevermind. Gary posted before me with the correct answer!

And with the other disks I must have to get a threaded part to attach them to. Sorry for all the questions. Still learning.

Given that you're still learning, I would hold off on trying to get what you might need for the pads. The pads aren't all that useful. When spinning, the only part of the disk that is moving at the speed of your wheels will be the disk's outer edge. Halfway in from the edge (to the center), the disk is spinning only half as fast. The center region of the pad is practically useless because it's even slower.
I recommend focusing on learning with what you have now, and then consider a right hand adapter if you find that you want an additional wheel.
That said, PM me if you would like me to send you an unused threaded disk for the Pixie. I don't need it.

I understand what you’re saying. Thanks for the advice. I plan on just playing around with it for now when I have time. Just trying to understand everything I have here so I know what it’s for. Thanks for all the replies from everyone. Sound a like I should get a 3000 Nova though for sure.

Hubby just informed me that back in the day, DP used to go from 1,200 to 14,000 on their machines. They changed it to 3,000 later because it was too big of a jump in grit sizes. You can use the pads with any oxide or diamond paste. They do make the 14,000 nova pads to screw on the end like Tony catmandewe said. He's an authorized DP dealer, btw. You really scored on that Pixie. Good for you! The pictures you posted of that older machine look to be a Genie with the motor in between the 2 sides of wheels. Which got me to thinking -- on Genies if the machine has been sitting around for years not being used you need to replace the capacitor for the motor. Otherwise, it almost always will fry the motor. I don't know if that's the case with the Pixies. catmandewe do you know? That motor also has a capacitor, the capacitors on that motor have not been much of an issue, but if it were me I would change it just for my peace of mind, a new capacitor is only $40, a new motor is at least 10x that.
