A couple weeks ago I pooled some Christmas gift money together to go buy a new pair of work boots. Some of the funds were to a local tractor supply type store, so I figured I would find something there.
All the standard boots were either really ugly, really expensive, or just felt really cheap and had all but given up and looked around one last time when I spotted a pair of steel toed, cowboy style boots.
What the hell, I'm already there shoeless, so I gave them a shot. I love these things! Already bought some Mink Oil to waterproof them.
First thing I usually do when I get home is kick my boots off, but these seem to stay on longer than normal and I find myself just relaxing in them at home.
Only problem is they are just a pinch too tight across the top of my foot, anybody know a trick to stretch that part a little?
Ariat work boots, I think 150$ or so.

Good lookin' boots Chad!
*I haven't tried...but I've been told...hair dryer into the boot to heat things up and make the leather more pliable...then stuff socks down in there to "stretch" it a bit.

I would’ve suggested Huberd’s Shoe Grease or Shoe Oil and wearing them with extra thick socks to help break them into your foot and stretch them a little. Little bit uncomfortable while doing but should help when you switch back to your normal socks. It’s nice to find a new favorite pair of boots. Hope they last for years. I’ve been planning to look for a new pair myself. Edit: I have also heard of the water method, but getting them wet and wearing them to stretch them to your foot. I figure that’ll happen naturally on its own at some point.

I think they make a ratcheting Wood apparatus * that is placed in boots w/ warning weather out in the AZ Increment stretch ! * If they don’t they should Mostly

My neighbor who is a longtime cowboy swears by walking in a creek in the boots then don't take them off until they dry. Supposed to make them form to your feet. Never tried it though since we are pretty short on creeks here...lol.
