Apparently an overwhelming amount of the worlds Peridot supply comes from this location and it's nearly picked over...

Cool stuff 1daveI got on google maps awhile back and determined that old US60 still runs from the AZ/CA border to the east coast, and runs through some interesting real estate, probably a lot more interesting than tourist trap Route 66. Perhaps if my trip into that valley is delayed by enough healthy years we'll make that trip.

US 66 used to run through the Arizona Petrified Forest. There was a Harvey House there! - ? Cloudenary is real slow right now. More photos will have to wait.
