Apple valley agate from Brian at lapidarycentralcrazy lace agate with druzy pocket underside of CLA I think this is desert jasper? This neat guy came from realrockhound. I have NO idea what it is other than maybe a fossil? I was originally going to try to cab, but it was real low on one side and i didn't think I could pull it off. Pigeon Blood agate (I think it all is) from kinesava horn coral! Dan sent me a few of these and I figured I'd see what tumbling one looks like - pretty cool. Montana agate - love love my montanas this had a little crystal patch - most of it wore away, but still the smallest bit there top Praire? Quartz variety. littles Not sure what this is - some type of moss? Praire agates This is the first batch out of my new mini sonic. To say I'm impressed would be an understatement. Really like how the mini functions. I did have a few times where there were jams, and once where it got too dry in the 220 stage, but all-in-all it was fairly easy to maintain. Also - jumped on the ready-made light boxes on Amazon and ordered one for 15 bucks. You get what you pay for, and I hate that the led lights look like dots, but it's good for my simple use of showcasing my rocks to the best of my ability . Thanks for looking!

That one is a variation of eagle rock plume. Oh interesting! It's quite different! Those are great! This mini-sonic puts a good shine on those rocks! Thanks! I was quite pleased Nice ones! What's your recipe with the minisonic? Thanks - I kind of experimented a bit, but did about 1.5 tsp of 120/220 for four days, then rinse/ivory, then ~1/2-1 tsp 500 for 2 days, rinse/ivory, 1000 for 24 hours (i don't normally use this step, but then would increase the 500 by a day) and then 1/2 tsp AO for 3 days with a final rinse/ivory clean. I don't measure to an exact so I can't say exactly, but this is a ballpark.

The top of the Montana agate looks like the sky in the Hitchcock movie The Birds! It’s really cool!

Thank you!!! Great looking batch Peta rocknewb101 . The fourth picture with cla knocked my socks off. Thanks for showing. Thank you!! I was amazed at that crazy lace! I kept wondering if I should pull it - you can see the cracks, it just kept getting smaller and I figured why not keep going! I was careful to clean out as best as I could. The top of the Montana agate looks like the sky in the Hitchcock movie The Birds! It’s really cool! I think this one is my favorite - it really does look like that! lol That is an awesome batch Peta! Great polish and great pictures! Thanks so much, Ashley! Thank you!!

Really nice batch Peta! This one's my fave! Thanks, Jason! I really like this one too! I had to decide between pulling it or letting it roll as it had several grit-trappers . Glad I decided to let it roll.

All are looking fantastic! Love the montana moss agates too! We were just lucky enough to get a few crates of old stock montanas and can't wait to cut some! Thanks for the tag too!

Peta, Congrats on your new sonic. The montana stands out to me !
With the light box, try taking the white background (if they gave you one) or a piece of light colored fabric & drape it inside the light box, under the light. Clothes pins work well. This diffuses the light (and gets rid of the LED reflections).

Gotta find it place of pride on my shelf Thank you for the tip on the light box! It came with 4 different color backgrounds, but they are all plastic sheets, but I do have some sheer fabric I was going to try and 'hang' up there this weekend - hopefully it's enough and not too sheer.. Clothes pins - great suggestion....Thank you!!

Thanks velodromed!! I appreciate that! Those came from lapidarycentral - they really turned out nicely! I have a bunch more that I think I'll do a dedicated barrel with - I just threw a bunch of variety into the barrel as I needed to refill...
