So are there 3 spots left open, since we just got another entry today? Come on people, there's gotta be a few of you on the fence and wanting and able to enter! It's ok if you are newer and not super experienced at cabbing. I'm in that boat myself. Mohstly this is just for fun to raise money for ole Ed's zoo bench!

Contestants - khara, Rockoonz, opalpyrexia, jasoninsd, fencejumper, NDK, taylor, rockbrain, rockjunquie, liveoak, hummingbirdstones, agatewhisperer - sincerely thank you for joining the contest, I'm looking forward to seeing the group of cabochons created by such talented hands! I know it is a difficult material but I have no doubt that you all will rock it! All of you should have your slab - I haven't been tracking individual packages but I have the ability to do so if anyone is missing theirs. At this point having passed the entry deadline, the contest is in a state of "soft closed." Because it is a benefit contest for a great cause and time is on our side, we need to make sure we did our best not to miss anyone, and also I need to check in privately with two other members who expressed interest in joining. Outside of the two who expressed interest, if anyone else is regretting not jumping in you basically have through Monday the 4th to make it known. |

The contest field is set already but if anyone was on the fence about joining or just curious about working with the material I would offer them up for a donation to the Mohs zoo bench fund at say any donation at or north of $25 plus SFRB shipping.
The only caveat would be I don't want to have non-contest cabs being posted and potentially affecting the visual public voting portion of the contest so I would delay shipping until later or after the contest.
Any takers?

It's five individual boxes with one contest slabs. I was hoping to sell those seats in the contest but it wasnt to be. The thought of unboxing them is depressing haha |

Depending on the quality that everyone is able to get with the cab contest cabs, the material may be in demand after people see the contest pictures. Just even more incentive for all of us to make the best cab and show the material off as best we can. Just saying, maybe it turns out that the contest will help sell these last slabs. They might just go to contest people who want more of it!

If you've already made yours stop staring at it and pop it in the mail, I'm certain that it's beautiful!!
