My first rocks made it out of step 3 "pre-polish", and I just put them into last step today. They will be hopefully finished in 7 to 10 days. I will post a few of the rocks in separate posts in order for individuals to respond to various rocks.
Looks like you got a great smooth surface on those Tex! I can't wait to see what they look like after the final polish!!

I think you need some more rocks, Tex. Yep. After I get michiganpebblers box off here this week, I’ll start working on one for you. Shoot me a PM sometime with your info.

Does anyone know the identity of this rock [img alt="" ——— Brecciated chert and possibly some chalcedony and other stuff. I think. I find similar ones around here with different combinations of chert, Jasper and agate. I’ll be posting a big one tomorrow that my Pappy collected.

Wow! For a first time, those are already slippery shiny. Looking forward to seeing what they look like after polish.

texhex Believe it or not, I got your box off today! Since I was already going to the post office to get michiganpebbler box out I threw yours together quickly last night. I’m not sending you any local rock because you live around here and will surely find plenty. I’m sending you a selection of agates, quartz, jaspers etc that Ive purchased overtime. Should make for some interesting clean outs over the next couple of months. I made sure to include a couple of small prairie agates, and also one of those blue bell or blue boy… whatever the hell they’re called, thunder eggs. Everything is labeled except for a few loose rocks i threw in at the last minute. The smaller loose rocks are from a Washington state beach and the larger loose rock is one of the special local agates I like to collect, the ones that look like a banded chert but turn into an agate like material as they are tumbled. That particular ones benen couple of course stages.
