Your question is...do "I" love squash... My wife cooks most of my vegetables in bacon grease just so I won't act like I'm choking on them when I'm swallowing them! LOL 6 much? Lmao

Oh yes! My favorite squash these days, is the glorious GMO Butternut squash. Which believe it or not, is a cross between a gooseneck squash and a pumpkin.

I also love squash and I think butternut is my favorite winter squash while zucchini and pattypan's are a tie for favorite summer squash. I slice zucchinis in slices about a half inch thick and grill them like steaks on the gas grill. Season them with something like Dash.
I store my seeds in the freezer to extend germination rates.
If you like cucumbers you need to try Burpless #26. These are easily the best salad cukes around and for fresh eating they can't be beat. It helps to keep them in the fridge in a big zip lock bag with a few tablespoons of water so they don't get like rubber.

Buttercups are my all time favorite winrer squash. I believe Burgess is the only seller of them now. I do love cucumbers but they don't love me so I don't eat them anymore

Just got the squash seed I ordered for Spring planting; Dixie Yellow Crookneck, Zucchini Spineless Beauty, and my favorite White Bush Scallop(Patty Pan) or as my friend calls them "Flying Saucer". The Patty Pan have a really firm texture and hold their firmness during the saute session.
We have also grilled thick slices of Zucchini, really nice.
Also trying Persian Cucumbers as my neighbor says he had a bumper crop the last two years.

I've never been able to get into the patty pans. Last year I grew Zucchini Gray from Baker seed company I'd like to try one of the smaller cozette varieties or Ronde de Nice (a French squash.

My gf makes spaghetti squash. But after all the marinara she adds, I’m not so certain it’s healthy anymore 😅

Most of the mainstream brands from the store are processed jars of sugar slop.

Never been a fan of spaghetti squash. Too high of a water content. I do like zoodles though

I do love squash, but every time I see this thread title I think "Squash is ok but I really prefer racquetball!"
