Thats some seriously gorgeous material. Beautiful work and beautiful shape choices, you seem like you have a great eye for the shape placement! By the way...I checked out your Tik-Tok vids. You posted a Botswana you cut on 12-30-21 which is mind-blowing! (It's the one you cut "lengthwise"!)

Those are outstanding cabs. Thanks Diane! I really did have fun making most of these...most! LOL I was going to go with the unkown as my favorite, but the brown in the palm root of the last two looks like a bonfire. How cool is that! Great job as always! Thanks Chris! Yeah...when I got that slab of Palm Root and really got to looking at it, I couldn't believe how much it looked like "flames" in there! Amazing cabs as always! That palm root is something else! Thanks Dillon! I've been waiting for a long time to snag a piece like this...and I'll definitely be on the lookout for some more! I have to agree with brotherbill . Those last 2 Palm Roots are Thanks Robyn! I've got a couple more pieces that were too wide for the 7" saw to split...so I have to wait until it's nice enough to break out the 10" saw to split the preforms. One is a shield shape that I'm dying to get done! They are all so amazing! Do I have to pick a favorite? Then it must be my plume agate custom order in the future! Thanks PS! LOL - That was a very good "not so subtle" hint! LOL Superbly done. I really like the ones from the Switzerland rock, it's a quite nice breccia. Thanks so much for sharing. Thank you my friend! I'm going to have to post that one in the ID thread...I'd really like to know what that one is... Superb cabs but wouldn't expect anything else from you! That OJ is a lot nicer than some that I have. The last 2 palm cabs are just magnificent! Thank you my friend! I have some OJ tumbles that were given to me...some of the REALLY good material. I may have to take another look at them to see if I can rework them into actual cabs! Gorgeous as always! Love them all - not sure I could pick a favorite but the palm root cabs are really eye catchy! Thanks Peta! I didn't think those Palm Root cabs would be the pick of the litter...but they seem to be! LOL They’re all beauties jasoninsd . When I got to the palm root, my mouth dropped open and all I could do was stare. They’re definitely my favorites. Thanks for showing. Thanks my friend! Now you know how I look when I see the pics of YOUR tumbles! Awesome, awesome batch Jason!! Love them all especially the OJ! How’s the job going? Thanks Ashley! Oh...it's been a real pain for the last three or four weeks...if I'm being honest! LOL Nice. Some fine material right there. Thanks Stefan! I do feel lucky to have snagged several of these materials! How do you quote multiple people in the same post?

Great work as always, my friend! Palm Root is in my top 5 favorites (for now, anyway) and those four are fantastic! Thank you my friend! I don't know if my memory is serving me correctly...but I'm going to go back to one of my oldest excuses...and I swear I saw you work some of this at one point...which means you're once again to blame for me "forcing me" into getting a new material! LOL Great cabs! The Indonesian petrified palm root is so cool. Thanks Chris! You're not wrong there! dillonf - If you want to quote multiple quotes: When you're looking at someone's quote, up in the top corner of the post is the "Quote" button, the "Like" button, then next to them is the "Post Options" button (it doesn't have a label - but it has the drop down arrow next to a circle thing). Click that button and choose "Select Post". Do that for everyone's quote you want to include. Then, when you get them all selected, go down to the bottom of the page and hit the "Reply" button. That'll take you to the reply with everyone's quotes you selected. Each one will be in their own "box". Make sure you put your cursor outside (below) of their quote box. Type a reply to everyone's post...then hit the "Create Post" button. Easy-Peezy!

The OJ and the palm root are so beautiful! It's hard not to have scratches near a druzy pocket, but you managed.

The area around the druzy is one area I especially scrutinize while working the dome. Once in awhile I'll catch a scratch or two and have to rework a piece. Thanks Geoff! I agree! Woot Woot for the Root Root! LOL

Beautiful cabs Jason, I really like those first cabs with the rock from Switzerland. Hope we can find a name for it, I'd be interested in working some. Also those Palm Root are really sweet. I need to try to find some of that also. Like others said here before, you always do find the sweet spot on your shapes. I always seem to struggle with that. Sometimes I get done with the top then start to clean up the back and question whether I should have done that side. Lol.

I created an ID thread and there were some great ideas as to what the material is: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/104325/help-identifying-european-rock-switzerland*If you ever want a second opinion on choosing the shapes on a slab, feel free to post what you've drawn out and tag me...or you are more than welcome to shoot me a PM. I'm not sure there's a right way and a wrong way...and sometimes I still swing for the fences and miss terribly! LOL **OH...and if you find a source for Palm Root similar to these pieces, let me know! It took me a couple years to run across this particular piece! LOL
