I've always thought Prairie agates are very underrated. Interesting patterns in very hard agate. Those are beautiful examples. Thanks Mel!  So...I'm totally confused about the Prairie Agates. I've always thought they weren't really agates...but rather Chert or Jaspers. Are some of these actually agates? Man this one: Outstanding! My favortie too. I'm pretty stoked. I'm thinking these slabs should be here tomorrow. That means while my wife watches The Curse of Oak Island, I can occupy myself with drawing out preforms! jasoninsd If your wife finds that you’ve dropped that rock on that glass cooktop you’re probably going to REALLY find out what it weighs. Is that Dino Bone?

To be honest...I think she'd be okay with it. I'm not too sure she really likes that stove! LOL Yep! Dino Bone! Looks like a nice piece of bone! I'm hoping! The interior of the bone looks pretty solid and well agatized. The outside does look like it wouldn't mind a stabilization... |
