The jellyfish is fun, but I love the bug.
I really like the antenna with the beads, that's cool !
I'm thinking his body is a bead ?
That elephant is REALLY cool !!
It's even on sale in her Etsy store. Maybe you can make a less woven version ? He's over the top cool though - if anyone can pull it off, you can !!!

Yes, his body is a bead. I picked it up in WI in a little out of the way bead shop. I fell in love with it, but held onto it for a long time til I figured what to do with it.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Patty, but I can't see myself doing that much weaving... and coiling, too. Nope.

Maybe an outline of an elephant head holding a cab ? You just have to make a "Tela" version

Sorry, I'm being too pushy, you'll figure something out - give me 2 days off, and I get too enthusiastic

Well, after spending hours mustering all my sad drawing skills, I sketched out an idea. Now I just need to figure out how to do it wire. DOH!
Who was it again that came up this crazy challenge?? LOL!

When we get to see the magnificent work the wrappers do, we are certainly winners

I ended up scrapping my original idea. I held onto it for over a month - until yesterday morning, in fact. But, I came to the conclusion that, although it would be cool and a technical achievement- it just wouldn't be a very pretty piece of jewelry.
I have 2 nice ammonites. I planned to use one and give it tentacles the way a real one would look. I think it would be scary looking. It would be off balance, too.

I'd really like to see you do an ammonite. The one I did was abysmal!

I'd really like to see you do an ammonite. The one I did was abysmal! Here's the one and only one I have done. This is very old- from when I first started and only worked in cheap 14kgf.
I forgot, I can't post a pic in a reply. ... next reply...

How funny, Susan & probably not off track.
I think I'd want to have extra wire on hand, as I can't imagine that complex elephant coming out quite right, the first time around (at least if I was going to try it- which I'm not). I'd buy LOTS of extra wire.
Patty.... working on a VERY simple low wire consumption project

That's a great idea, I never considered.
Of course, a quick look and they don't make them in copper.
Hmmmmm.... have to see about that.
Thanks for the idea.
