Thanks and agreed! I definitely have a thing for the shiny volcanic glass! Trying to find some snowflake obsidian chunks big enough for a sphere... the hunt continues!

I was trying to figure out what jasoninsd was talking about until I saw the link and followed it. Oh boy those are nice chunks of obsidian! I've got a big (couple of fists put together) size mahogany obsidian I won in a raffle that's collecting dust in the garage right now. This makes me want to give it a whirl.

Posting some updates on the polishing of the obsidian, 5 days in a vibe tumbler and think maybe they need another day or two... some are a bit hazy still. Definitely a more difficult batch for a beginner, on to some jasper (easier, hopefully) next!!!
