Here's the finished cab. Dale wasn't kiddin' when he said it polishes like a dream. Looked great comin' off the 1200 wheel, never mind the last two. Rich

Rich, That is too BEAUTIFUL Man! No wonder this stuff goes for premium, but it is no doubt well worth it. I love that pic with the cab on that dark green foliage. It really brings out the shine and beauty of that piece. Steve

George - Can you let us in on where the jasper comes from? I'm guessing Algeria or Morocco.

That is a special cab Rich! That material is unreal and it's easy to see why everyone is excited about the new finds. I hope I can get my hand on some in the future!

Rich;
I was just panning back through the thread and saw your request for the location. Sorry I missed it. Actually, it is in North Africa, Eastern Sahara Desert about 100 kilometers west of Luxor, Egypt. For obvious reasons, we are divulging the exact location but I can tell you I STILL need a GPS to get there. The shifting sands are continually changing the landscape each time we go out there.
It's starting to get pretty hot and we have restricted our trips to the digsite to weekends now.
We're putting together a story for Lapidary Journal about the whole adventure, but I don't know when they'll publish it. I'll keep you posted here.
