Amazing! Some of them seem to belong from other planets! Looking on that link I wander if it's worth to continue collecting rocks from my region, they can hardly be compared to those beauties (just kidding, every rock has its charm).

Yup Adrian, ya got to wonder why we go out in the heat and cold and rain and etc. to collect these pitiful little things we get.
But I wouldn't stop for anything. :-)

wow - I've definitely got rock envy...and now pondering the length of my stay here in KY...it really seems pointless for all us rock people on the eastern side of the country. Thanks so much for the link - I thoroughly enjoyed that slide show. Now to take my limestone and crayons and see what I can come up with.

Holy freaking cow! Nature provides rocks like that? I kind of knew that, but I never really KNEW that! Amazing photography, amazing rocks, thanks so much for the post. Mr. Steve, I have to assume that you are a 'natural' artist. Thanks so much for your wonderful skill, photographing some truly phenomenal rocks. I hope you consider publishing some of your photos! I would suggest sending some samples to National Geographic, or the Smithsonian. I really think your photos are on that level. Thanks again, for much enjoyment.

Steve they are incredible!!!
To be able to self collect these agates is something VERY special!
It's been mentioned here many times before that us poor suckers in the north east are in rockhound hell !!
You're either in or close to rockhound Heaven!!
Thanks,,

Hello All… Now that I’ve found this forum, and this thread, I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your wonderful comments about my collection and web site! It makes me VERY HAPPY to know you have enjoyed looking at what I’ve put together. When I initially sent the invitation out to 30 or so folks to visit my (then new) agate gallery on pBase I didn’t expect anyone to post it anywhere. (And doing so was in no way a problem at all.) At the time I was just hoping my family, friends and fellow rockhounds I knew would get a kick out of seeing the pictures. What has absolutely floored me is that since the post of the invitation on this and other forums people from 13 different countries and I don’t know how many states here in the US have rolled up almost 11,000 page views! Even in my wildest dreams I had absolutely NO IDEA I might get that many people looking at what I’d put together…. But it’s very cool to me that they have because I know we “Agate Folk” can’t get enough of looking at pretty rocks! Thank you again for stopping by and taking a look as well as your very kind comments…both here and in my gallery. And thank you again Claudia and Ricardo for thinking enough of it to invite the world to come and take a look! Regards, Steve www.pBase.com/spw
