Hi everyone! I was out of town these days and took my daughter with me. We visited some nice places, including a thermal spa. Nearby there was a vertical cave (is its English name "aven" too?). That's the "only" 70 m vertical shaft. We also did some rock-hounding and found some pretty stones. this is a close-up: Thanks for looking, Adrian

Great photos, Adrian! I have a special thing for water lilies and frogs so I particularly enjoyed the first two pix. Graffiti has been showing up since human-kind discovered how to leave its mark but it is always sad to see it on soething so beautiful as that boulder. Does anyone ever go down that vertical shaft? I would be claustrophobically terrified just getting near the edge. Thanks for posting the pix. Lady B

Thanks again. Lady B, only alpinists are able to descend in that shaft-cave and then get out to light. Unfortunately, there were some people which only "descended", the last one was a woman who falled there this spring. I had to crawl for taking the 6th pic, it was a "blind" photo, I stretched my hand and pushed the button without viewing.

hey Adrian!
In the third pic...those pods...those really grow like that? Amazing! Those are big business over here...just never thought I'd see 'em standing in a field!
Great Pic's!

What bussiness Liz? They seem decorative. It's just a litle lake (some 50 meters long and maybe 20 wide) in the midle of a park.

Craft stores all over the US have those pods for sale in them. Sometimes they're painted. (neutral colors and silver, gold, etc.) We use them in flower arranging, wreath making... Gosh...if I had to guess, I'd say they would sell 3 pods for about $10...
