these have a shiny outside and solid. I didn't cut one open yet. heres 2 and then a couple of the same one. The one looks like a duck bill coming off the side. lol

My guess would be gypsum (selenite) roses, though calcite and barite can form those rosettes too....Mel

The first picture they look like turds from a Jack Russell, but in the other two they do look like the gypsum roses, things.

Well, I had no clue, but I did think they resembled my desert rose, formation-wise. Never heard of a gypsum rose, learned something new tonight! Thanks!
