Oh what fun it is to be an ELF for Lady B! And now, finally, I can post what Adrian sent me! No, he's not my Secret Santa, but it's fun stuff. Here is the package: Books are always good with me! And, I had to stop here, because this was for Kate, and I couldn't finish until she got it. Sorry for the really bad pic: And, now that Kate has her package from Adrian, I can continue! I guess TOPLESS and CARMEN are the same in all languages. As are the sports pages. We had fun 'reading' Adrian's packing material! Here is the second half. Can you tell the chocolate has all been opened? Yep, posting pix of empty chocolates. REALLY good chocolate, by the way. Something we could 'kinda' read: And Matt was laughing to see this! It's the Nug, in Romanian! I could almost read it... Note the piece of pet wood (recognize that?!!), and the K pendant Adrian sent: Wow! Made my week! Month! Thanks, Adrian, Ina and Ioana! Karen

Karen, I'm so glad they arrived safely to you, especially that pet wood! So glad it came in one piece! And thank you so much for being Kate's elf for me!

I'm belatedly mentioning the arrival of my box from Luv2Hound. Mitzi sent some wonderful rocks, some delicious chocolate chip cookies, and some really nice slabs. When I get a few minutes away from the office tonight, I'll be sure to get pictures.
AND - she sent (made?) this gorgeous card. I'll be sure to include that in my picture shot!

The recent Photos are great to see and the last posting from Steve got the old ticker beating a bit faster as I quickly checked my List before reading all the way to the end of Steve's message. Thought the Elves were up to some mischief there for a minute!!! ;D That was so nice of you Raqy. If it hadn't been for Steve this Gift Exchange would not have taken place and I would not have been checking my List 32 times. Wait a minute! If it weren't for Steve I wouldn't have to be checking Lists!!!! Maybe I should ask Santa to leave a bit of coal at Steve's house...Nah, Steve's a really great guy and another RTHer who should be on that Poster with Beef and John (BonR). But speaking of my List, I still haven't heard from quite a few of the Gift Exchange Participants so I'm hoping everyone is now wearing their official Snow Flake badges which means that all the gifts are either in the mail or already arrived. (I finally got to put on my own badge...it was pretty close to the deadline but I did it!!!) And I still haven't posted pix of the neat gifts I received from Adrian and Karen---but soon, I promise!!!!! Okay...gotta go. There's a house to decorate, cookies to bake, gifts to wrap, all the usual FUN leading up to Christmas Day when I can collapse! ;D Lady B

Wow! Holy Cow Wow! Thanks, Tom Connrock! I picked up your package today (it had actually been at the PO for a few days, but w/my work schedule I could not get there during their 'window' hours until today!) Thanks so, so much! First clue: there were a few red stamps on the box that said HEAVY PARCELI had about 20 minutes left in my lunch hour, so I had to bring it right home and open it up! (Hey, it didn't say to wait!) If he had put any more rocks in that box, I would still be trying to drag it out of the PO! So, I rush home, open it up, and.... Very nice slabs! But, no time to peel the tape. So, on to the next layer: Wow! Some real turquoise from AZ! And then: My very own personal treasure dig! And my time was up, I had to LEAVE THAT and go back to work!! Later... The top layer. I had to pull out the specialized tool for the rest! Does this remind anyone of anything? And most of the box: Amazing! Now I need to go strain the pellets and get everything nice and wet and take more pictures! And learn how to take a back-lit pic of the obsidian! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Tom! You ROCK!!! Karen

Snowdog! You opened your gift before Christmas? Well you almost made it. The green and white rock is Chinese writing rock and I was told the other, the one you called chocolate crazy lace was flowering tube & banded onyx. But you would know better than I. I'm glad you liked your gifts, I was worried since we all know you have almost as many rocks as God .. and I will take that hug next time I see ya. ;D Everyone's pics are great too! Lots of cool rocks to go around. What fun MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!! Raquel

I'm sorry for not posting here sooner but I just didn't see this section and if Kate didn't PM me with a link I would still be in Limbo! A big DUH for Tom!!
I think my wife is giving me a cattle prod for Christmas to keep me awake and alert!!! LOL Or was it a tazer??? Can't remember!
I see that a lot of you have got your boxes and there are some pretty darn nice packages being sent out!
I'll try to keep up here from now on!

Well Karen I'm glad you are happy with the package!
Putting the box together was kind of a last ditch effort as things have been crazy around here lately!
I think Kate and Steve are two GREAT people for doing this for us!
Thanks!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

It's wonderful to see everyone's boxes. The plastic pellets as packing is a great idea! It looked like it would be a lot of fun going through it all. And if you miss a few they will be nice surprises when they come out of the tumbler ;D
Sweet looking box from Raqy, Snowdog. That Chrysocolla and writing stone. I can see those opals sparkle too! Tony, I don't know how you are going to hold out on those rocks until spring. Those last two are really sweet.
RK and Wolfden, I can't wait to see the inside of the boxes! I don't know how you do it. I'll post my box when photobucket is done uploading here. Just a sec Steve
