I picked up this chunk of old stock African Pietersite in Austin at the Gem show. 1.4lbs at 26.50 per. Pretty good deal I think.... And the slabs cut so far.... had to use the flash as it was the only way to capture the true colors.... Will probably attempt to cut a cab with it soon. Hope you enjoy! Dan

Nice rock Dan at a really good price. Pietersite is one of my favorite rocks but I haven't had the nerve to buy a piece yet. Looking forward to your cabs.

Dan Have I ever told you that you are my best buddy in the whole world. I really like you Dan. I really really do. Curt Dan, I hope you realize that that is just an outrageous attempt to get you to share some of that gorgeous rock. And I think you know who your bestest buddy is in the whole UNIVERSE! And WHO really, REALLY LIKES YOU!!!! And whose name doesn't begin with... Well, I just thought I would remind you that Mark (Spike, of course!) has stuck with you and by you and has dibs on that gorgeous rock. For Shame, For Shame, Curt! Trying to butter up your fellow Texan!! And everyone knows how generous, and loving, and considerate, and wonderful Texans can be...even to fellow Texans of short duration. ( Did I ever mention that I used to live in San Antonio? ) That sure is a gorgeous rock!!! And those are sure gorgeous slabs. Bet it's gonna make just gorgeous cabs! Sigh...... Lady B

Those slabs are flippin' sweet, mate.
The blue "background" looks like a stormy sea. Then it looks like gold paint has been flung all over it.
Very cool.
