I recently purchased a used 24 inch rock saw and a combination slab saw. It hadn't been used since this lady's husband passed away. What is the best way to try and clean up this equipment to get it ready for use again?

Hey Debra, sounds like you fell into a good deal with that saw. Here's a good link for finding out what to look for and how to clean up an old saw. www.lapidaryjournal.com/feature/slabsaw.cfmGood luck, and wear old clothes, cuz it's a messy job. Ed

Thanks so much for the helpful link! My used saw looks exactly like the one in this article, except the brand name on this says IDEAL LAPIDARY MOHAVE INDUSTRIES. This info is great! Tho my trim saw combination is the same brand as the saw pictured. Thanks again guys!
