I've heard it called both marble and jasper, I just call it really cool stuff. It cabs like a dream, and polishes out beautifully. I don't think it would tumble very well, with a hardness of 4 - 5, it's pretty soft stuff. Utah is the primary source. there is no way no way it could be marble and jasper it is in fact marble a carbonate mineral that will dissolve in battery acid try the so called jasper if it fizzes it ain,t jasper baby ......my little crusader science candle in the dark. gemmaster
