Finished jade cabochons: Clockwise from top: Zebra Jade ( nephrite & serpentine) from Washington, Black Nephrite from Wyoming, Pink Jade ( thulite) from Wyoming, Dark green Nephrite from Porterville, CA, Jadeite from Washington, Pink and Green Jade ( nephrite & thulite) from Wyoming and middle: Black Jade from Porterville, CA.

Ooooh, Shelby, your BC jade pic made me shudder! I remember seeing and collecting that stuff when I was a kid living in Prince George. I recall having a decent collection of agates as well that mysteriously vanished along with my gold dust & garnets.

i just picked up a 9-1/2lb chunk of this they called it aust, black jade dont know if its the real deal but it very pretty
