Cuprian Adamite from Greece Along with my love for tumbling, I also love specimin collecting. Don't have tons yet, but ya got to start somewhere! I won this at auction from a mineral website (mineralauctions.com) out of Texas. When I saw the pic, well, green IS my favorite color & the druzy just jumped out. Of course...the best kind of collecting is where YOU find things yourself, but when that's not possible, this will do!

Nice piece Liz, how hard to you think the matrix or host rock is? Looks like it may be pretty soft? Gonna go take a look, always looking for siutable, odd druzy rough. Thanks

I don't know about hardness. I'll send an e-mail to Rob Lavinsky & ask. Guarantee he'll know!

That's really pretty! I do wish I could see green better, but the crystals are awesome.

Hey Stumpy! (I kinda like callin you that...is it ok instead of Harry?) I'm trying one more picture of this to see if it's any better. Hopefully it worked. And Shain - I tried sending a pic to Dr. Rob about the hardness, but was not successful. (imagine me not being able to send a pic! Ttttthhhh!) He said as best he can remember, it should be fairly soft.

Ya, seeing this better close up photo. I would agree, looks like a very soft matrix. Still nice gren and nice piece overall.
