Hi all! Ive avoided the forum like a plague due to the upgrade issues but it seems that all is going well now so its time to post some photos. This last weekend was my Washington trip to the in laws and also the side trip to Fox Island to pick up my three tumblers, seven barrels and the 10" rock saw that I had asked everyone about. Mt. Rainier on the way over the bridge to Fox Island Daniel met us there as he was buying the other 10" saw. It was nice meeting another RTH member. Mike, the guy we purchased the saws from is on the left, Daniel is in the center and thats me on the right. Here is the back of my s-10 blazer after everything was packed. I will take photos of the equipment after its all unpacked. The one Lortone tumbler is HUGE and came with four 12lb barrels. I bought some picture jasper and obsidian from Mike also. He included a free bucket of rock with the saw. And I also got to dig in his dump piles and fill up a bucket for free, for making the trip out there to Fox Island. Most was pet wood, some agatized, some opalized. I was quite happy to dig through the piles. Sunset and fog on the way home. Thanks for lookin!

Nice haul! Those are some seriously large barrels there. Looks like your going to be a tumbling maniac. Where are you going to put them? Looks like a lot of nice rock too.

Yea, the used QT12 barrels alone are workt more than twice what that lot sold for. Shannon got a great deal.
The saw was a great deal too, and I was glad to get the second one, as well as have a meet and greet with Shannon. ... Now if I can just find a place to set up the saw.

Shannon, I'm afraid that you are going to have too much fun! You definitely don't want to be overfunned! Just to save you from this horrible fate I'm afraid that you will have to send the rocks to me for safe keeping. Bob

Bonus! You got an old Lortone 10". It is a workhorse. It runs 8-10 hours a day with my HP 18"
Let me know if you have any questions on it. I've torn mine apart every which way but Sunday.

Rick - do you know what the drop in trim-table for the LS-10 looked like. I don'e see where it would ahve seated, and Lortone did not respond to my inquiry about a drawing.

Hmmm... I sent an email to Lortone off of their website asking for an owners manual. They sent me one right away. I don't remember anything about a drop in trim table. I'll have to find the manual in my desk piles of paper...

OK, I asked them for a manual too, but it is not clear if I have an older model they no longer even sell parts for. If you do find any info on the trim table, please let me know.

I dunno about the trim table but they do have parts. A friend of mine ordered the electric feed assembly. They had it. It wasn't cheap, $125.00.

Yea, they have parts for later models where the drive shaft is not threaded for an inch or so at each end. If it is the older model where the drive shavt is threaded the whole lenght, they do not have parts. ... and the trim table is apparently not an available part no matter what.
