Really neat Adrian! We have a guy out here that uses steel cut from old sawmill or crosscut saw blades or from files for knife blade blanks too. Guess it's really tough stuff steel to work but the knives I've seen look pretty sturdy and are supposed to hold a fine edge.....Mel

READY! DONE! FINISHED! ;D ;D ;D Here is the picture story of the handles, the "rock" part of the knife: The four pet wood slabs - cut: Then glued two by two: Next, I finished the short sides: Then grinded and polished the handles... ... and then glued them with epoxy on the knife: After a few hours, I cleaned it and it's ready!!! ;D Left: wood from USA; right - wood from Greece Left: wood from Romania; right - Wood from Australia (Chinchilla) Even Ina likes it. Well, sort of, as much as a woman can like such a knife, but she still likes it Thanks for looking and SORRY to the dial-uppers, Adrian

Mate, you have done an amazing job! The handle is a work of art. Now you are "ready" for when those boys start coming to your house to see your daughter! Mike

That will be an Heirloom knife Adrian!!! I used to make throwing knives years ago in Kentucky and the hardest most troublesome part was drilling the holes for the handle, gets very aggravating sometimes...Your doing great, thanks for sharing!!!-Dale Rhode

Wow, that's a superb job, Adrian! It's been fun to watch your progress though the manufacture. I love the different pet wood choices you made, too! Think you'll do another?

Thank you everyone1 Titania, for the moment I even don't think about making another one. A lot of work and time needed. One is enough, at least for a while . Adrian
