I found this at www.pacificjadeart.com For "presentation" purposes some coat their cleaned raw jade with silicone grease.I got a spray can at NAPA and coated half of an unfinished slab: very nice improvement and it soaks in and doesn't feel greasy. I' guess this might work on other rock, maybe even finished stuff.Mike.

Howdy..................I polish my jade pieces with either a soft boff and zam or the harder pieces with 6 in. leather pads, Snap silicon and diamond paste. Silicon is so darn handy!!! Bob

Hey lsmike ...........What is M-5 polish? I have my best luck with the Zam, light pressure And a slower speed. If the buff is spinning too fast or you use too much pressure the softer jades will undercut........Bob

m-5 works great on softer stone i had a prob with sodalite pendents before and i bought some of that and i gotta say it worked great on that with a leather belt
and i allways give my leather belt a shot of silicone when im useing 14000 and 50000 diamond paste -- it helps with the belt grabbing the stone and throwing it
