Hey, I have a shop vac. So at 3500rpm it just means you make twice as many cabs as others would with an rpm of 1700 right? ? ;D were those preshaped on that grinder? If so, I'm confiscating the shop vac we have and hooking it up after christmas! Heck the patio is just outside the basement door, and the GFI plug is in the basement and I also have a gas mask. Do I really need the shop vac if I do my grinding outside?

Naaaa, if you do your grinding outside, you'll be fine just wearing a mask.....and eye protection. Also, depending on which way the wind is blowing, wear a "do rag" or something to cover your hair. Rock dust will make a mess of your hair!! (damn, I sound like a woman) lol ...Oh, also, and this is a big one, masking tape around your finger tips!!! Trust me on this, you'll have a painful week if you don't tape your finger tips. You'll get used to grinding with your finger tips taped pretty fast. Ohhhh the painful memories.

That's a sweet looking ride behind those cabs, Randy!
The shop vac must have worked, because I sure wouldn't want to have to keep dusting the car.

' Bikerrand i ' is just a big ole girlfriend huh?! But he's right about the finger taping, but get this stuff www.flexx-rap.com/ as you'll have more control over the rock. It's carried in sporting goods stores. Oh, and a box fan will make the wind blow any way you want it to Dr Joe .

Chuck- the ride is for sale, wanna buy it? ;D Ahhh yes, I forgot about the sporting goods tape. The reason that I used masking tape is because I paint all my own cars, I have an abundance of masking tape. lol

Me too, I use the sports tape on some of the power and hand tools (files, chisels and hacksaws).

I use a showercap cause I learned all about rock snot from cutting with the wf. Thanks for the tip with the masking tape. Though short, I use my nails more than any other tool when wrapping. Somehow I missed that purple beauty...too focused on the stones. Looks sweet.
