This is a wrap that I did a while back. While visiting my son and daughter in law in GA, I got to take pictures of what I gave her before. I also got Kimber to try her hand at it. Here is a nice rose quartz that she really liked Here is the cab I made and kimber wrapped it. I think she did great for a first attempt! My wraps are still not smooth enough but they are getting better. Fran

Great job, on the last one I had to look twice to find the wire that was holding the stone in. A coupla suggestions, try wrapping the "edges" *sorry the correct word escapes me* with half round wire if you can, they tend to lay flatter (if you are using half round for the wraps, try using square wire for the main wires. (it's hard to return to round wire once you've tried the square) Also, try to open up the two bail wires at the top, it makes the pendant sit better on the chain (just my 0.001 cents - I'm Canadian, the value of our opinion varies with our dollar) I like em all - great job - I really REALLY like the amethyst - but I'm a sucker for anything purple! BTW rose quartz fades if you leave it in the sun

Wow, they are great, your Daughter in law did an awesome job on her first one, you must be a good teacher, my first and second sucked, and that was the end, I hate doing it, but I love the finished product, I really respect all the great wrappers on here.

Hmmmmm, seems to me that you said my wraps blow yours out of the water. You must have accidently posted someone elses wraps in this thread because those look much cleaner than mine. Your binding wraps are tighter and that second wrap is awesome!! My imagination doesn't seem to come up with stuff like that, most of my wraps are combinations of other people's ideas. Oh, and I love the stone in the first one, too cool!!

Wow great wraps on all of them. I'm always amazed at the innovation and ingenuity that the good wrappers like you come up with for their bails. Your DIL's first is better than any of my wraps.

You did a great job on those wrap. I love the design at the top of your cab in the first pic. It is really pretty. It looks like your daughter in law has the midas touch because that is way beyond the look of a first wrap.
I also love how you presented the third wrap. Seems the shell and the stone just flow together. A really cool pic.

I thought I had responded to this one - I really love the top on that first one. One of my first wraps was with tumbled chevron amethyst and I have a fondness for it ever since. It didn't look anywhere near as nice as that top one, though!
