I'm sorry that the rock wasn't as nice internally as it was on the outside, but the photo that you took showing the fracture was very enlightening (both literally and figuratively...)! I'll have to try that method of illuminating fractures.

What a shame. That can happen naturally, but more often it's caused by blasting or a jack hammer. I'm not familiar with mining at Morenci, so I can't say for sure.
