thanks for inspiring me!!! my next tumble batch WILL be calcite. i have many colors of it, that i've collected around here. mostly rhombdahedrons (sp?), but i also have many dog tooth crystals, with broken points. should be an interresting batch!!!
did you run normal batch lenghts, day wise? also, as far as the grit involved, did you use the same amount as you would on agate, or, since calcite is a 3, did you use less grit?

Nice video! They really do look like these ones turned out well. The syrup does help with the cushioning. I would get the dings right after changing to a final grit or the polish, before a slurry was built up with softer rocks. The syrup would slow the action until the slurry was formed before breaking down. I wouldn't recommend using it throughout though. Gets expensive. Fran
