I was glad to see that this new part of the forum was added since it is right up my alley. I have been collecting fossils for about 45 years now and I have amassed a very large collection. I live in the coastal part of S.C. and this area is absolutely loaded with fossils. For starters, here are a couple photos of goodies I have collected over the years: This first photo is of a jaguar tooth in a section of jaw. The ruler in in millimters: This second photo is of several shark's teeth representing the kind of teeth I collect at a nearby limestone quarry. All the teeth are from the Eocene epoch (about 42 million years ago) and they tend to be rather small, mostly half an inch or smaller in height : I will post more photos later of some other assorted fossils I have collected over the years. I hope you enjoy these! Vance

You know, I would never know I found something with the jaguar tooth and bone...I would just think it was wood or something. I am glad you guys can teach us about this stuff and helps us to appreciate it. They are all great! Fran
