All the more reason to have Rock hunting permits in Oregon. What kind of bag limit would there be??? Would lapidary rough be included under this permit.

You have good points and obviously have more knowledge on the subject than I, Jack. I was only trying to point out it's spelled "Holley". Seems nobody addressed the Calapooya reference, though. Was Holley Blue called Calapooya Blue interchangeably back in "the day"? I was under the impression that the Calapooya Blue or Purple was the name for the deposit up the Calapooya, being as it's not the same type of agate (regardless of color) and located a fair distance from Scott Mountain. The logging company gates and restricted access are my biggest bitches too. The problem with their "commercial collecting" plan is that the only open places left available to us are now targets for people who take everything and leave a mess while nobody else has anything to collect in the meantime.

the 6-8 mile marker on 2820, is a very old site, and that the formation is the same flow of Pillow Basalt flow.
The Potassium ferral Cyndie, is the elements that color the agate. it was`t tell the crack of the Calapooia fault line, River bed, the the other site was exposed on the north bank....
The names change for the selling point...
Calapooia is spelled Kalupooia
this name spelling comes from old maps.
Roger Mt. was just before the Holley Beds. closing...........
Time for change and i`m doing the best to change the laws so Troopers have the Law to work with.
88 i`l send you a PM later.
My fingers are very MAD. at this time.
And the Key broad wont handle much more dancing on the old oak desk.

Oh excuse me, I just noticed that the $750 application fee is for commercial purposes. I thought we were talking about personal collectors.
