John,
Those are really pretty! Do you keep them whole for display or do you ever slab them?

John, Good looking group of stones. I never looked close in the Natchez area. Are the streams sand and gravel or more clay? I plan to look over the upper end of the Amite River later on this year.

The banding and colors of the stones are great but the shapes of some are the most interesting feature on some of them. Very nice collection.

Outstanding finds! Only time I've ever seen those before is in books and magazines. Much prettier in your pics and it's nice to know you can still make such nice finds in your hunting area....Mel

Shannon... i tumble some of the solid smaller ones and ship a bunch to my snowed in brother in wyoming, he has the saw.. i keep some natural. i also pick up some petrifid wood and some other rocks off the gravel bars. Bob most of the creeks are mix type gravel bars ,sand then mud/clay .I walk a few creeks that are by the Natchez trace and a few spots on the Homochitto river. ... John
