And this would be----? This is from the Niagara Escarpment, all limestone, just outside Green Bay WI. What the heck is it, anything? It is nicknamed 'wet willie--- Can you make out the double-winged dragonfly? Limestone--- Again, limestone. No idea what the little pink guys are---- Another typical chunk of limestone with 'stuff' in it--ideas? Heeeeey, here's a really OLD fossil from around here!!!!!!

Neat fossils! Now your job is to very carefully dig them out of the matrix. I hope Amber doesn't see the second one. She'll go berserk. Curt

Boy, I wish I could help you out as those are really neat but I'm kinda rank amateur at fossils. I'd suggest you register at the Fossil Web ( it's free) and the real experts will ID your mystery samples....Mel

That second pic looks like stuff Adrian had posted a while back (I think it was Adrian) I think he called it concretions or mud concretions (if memory serves me, which often times it doesn't).
