Geez, had not checked this lately, what an awesome job by all of you!!!
Randy-it is simply beautiful
Akansan- Great job!!! Looks great with the cooper wire
Lori- Love the little swirls on the wings!!!
This is a great idea, can't wait to see them all together. The butterflies are so cool that Steve made on their own, and now they are just extraordinary. It is funny how just looking at them you can sort of tell which wrapper did them, you all have such a unique and wonderful style all your own!! That would be a fun contest~~~ you wrappers wrap stones and we have to guess which wrapper did what!!!
Lots of talent here!!! Lori looking at your plans with all those wires made me woozy!!!

Well, This was what I got done last night...... Just about ready to put in the wings..... All right.... everything seems to fit nicely, I should be able to pull this off after all !!!! I was going to have little swirls at the bottoms of mine also ( deja vu anyone? ), but now, just to be different, I have another idea..... I just have to touch up everything a little... Randy.... that is awesome....Great job!!!! Lori... Amazing....legs, eyes, probiscus!?!?! Absolutely amazing...It will fly, won't it? akansan ... the copper turned out excellent on those stones... I love the way you kind of softened up the wings ( if that makes any sense ) Great job!!! Chris

Well, all of these butterflies are just beautiful! Everyone has done such a great job.
Mine starting talking to me last night. I held it in my hand and gently caressed it, studied it, and I came up with an idea. I started to play with the wire and guess what? My butterfly changed her mind! She came apart!! Now she is in 3 pieces and is talking different to me. What it's telling me is gonna take a bit more time to figure out. What is the deadline for this? I hope it finishes it's morphing later today.....

Chris, that is beautiful!
Tigger, there was no deadline set. You just can't rush beauty in progress. I was thinking about a month when this started but I know of one butterfly that still may be enroute to it's wrapper so the dead line is: when all the wrappers are finished wrapping. No stress dead line.

Wow-these are all great! I guess I was confused-I thought they were glued together to start with. I'm not sure I would have been up for this challenge! Chris-really good job with your limited experience!

Ok well. I started my butterfly. I kind of came up with the idea as I went. Here's the pics as I have them now. Unfortunatley, we had a small setback, but don't fret, I've got glue!! BTW, this butterfly is wrapped with scrap wire I had. Some of it is dead soft, and half is half hard. You can't see the difference, but I feel the difference when trying to work it. I didn't relize it until I started to post, but these pieces are backwards. This will be the back of the pendant. Center piece done. Here's the back. Side view. Front view One wing done and attached. Then.... AAWWWWWWW!!! I dropped this wing forming the wire around it! This butterfly has several internal fractures, so when I dropped it, it broke all the way. My hubby helped glue it back together so hopefully it will be ok. I hope to be able to finish it in a bit. When it's done, I will need to straighten it up a bit as I can see a few booboos. Lori, I'm sorry I broke the wing. Tigger

Oh boy, got my butterfly today in the mail...the first one flew to places unknown, but this one made it! However, one wing was attached, and one was off! I'm trying without success to get the other off, and I bought Super Glue Remover, but it won't budge. I tried acetone, no luck. HELP!! modify: Aw heck. I'm impatient to get started. I'll just glue back the second wing and do it that way! ;D

Tigger, seems you are facing an extra challange. I know it's going to come out gorgeous!
Glad it got to you Dee, and thanks again Ken for sending that extra butterfly.

Everyone... thank you as always!!!! Working with these stones was so much easier easier than tumbled rocks!!!! This was my first wrap with cut stones, and I really like them. Now the shape wasn't the easiest to work with, but I got it . Tigger..... Yikes, that poor wing I'm sure it will work out well, I've super glued a few coffee mug handles on before, and they allways seem to hold well..... Can't wait to see it done... Deedolce.... I really want to see what you come up with, some of your stuff is pretty wild .....

Well I have put the wounded wing into intensive care. It has been repaired. Just letting it cure a bit before I finish my butterfly. I love all the others, each is beautiful. Hope to be complete with mine by this weekend.

chrisperez, it'll be milder than you think! It still supposed to look like a butterfly, right? lol! This is actually harder than I thought it would be! Here's the 'base' form around the butterfly.

Chris, your interpretation is just too cool and love how you made the bail on the tips of the wings. Tigger, you overcame that bump in the road in true Tigger bouncing style! Looks great! Dee, love how you used the two-toned copper with those stones and accented those wings!
Beautiful work, all of you!
